Apply on Super Soccer Stars’s site (opens in a new tab)
Soccer Stars of NE Denver is hiring Assistant Coaches for our afterschool soccer program this fall. We run at elementary schools in Green Valley Ranch, Commerce City, and Brighton. You must be 18 or older.  Our school partners require every adult working with their students to be at least 18 and to pass a background check. There are no exceptions to this, so please don't apply if you're under 18. You do not need soccer experience.  A lead coach runs the session and teaches the soccer. Your job is the kids: keeping your group together, walking someone to the bathroom, handling a scraped knee, spotting the child who's having a hard day. If you're patient with six-year-olds, we can teach you the rest. The schedule Wednesdays start at 2:30 PM. All other days start at 3:15 PM.  You need to be free for both start times. 2–3 afternoons per week, Monday through Friday 2 paid hours per day, 4–6 hours per week Season runs September 14 through mid-November.  Most schools are 8 weeks; one runs 9. Please only apply if you can commit to the full season.  The kids get the same coaches every week, and that consistency is most of what makes the program work. What you'd make $20 an hour, plus a $100 bonus when you finish the season. Assistant coaches who do well move up to lead coach, which pays $22–$25. What you'd actually do Run a small group of 8–10 kids alongside the lead coach Walk kids to the bathroom and back — always staying within sight of the field Keep headcounts at every transition Handle scrapes, water breaks, and the occasional meltdown Help check every child out to an authorized adult at pickup Set up and pack down equipment To apply Apply here and tell us about your experience with kids. We're interviewing now and want coaches in place before the season starts. Applications close September 8, 2026, or when the roles are filled. Requirements 18 years or older  — required by our school partners, no exceptions Experience with elementary-age kids: childcare, camps, teaching, tutoring, babysitting, coaching, or raising your own Patient, calm, and comfortable being the adult in charge of a group of young children Free the afternoons you're scheduled, roughly 2:15 to 5:30 Reliable transportation to  Green Valley Ranch (80249), Commerce City (80022), or Brighton (80601)  — you'd be at one school per day Willing to be outdoors in cold weather.  The last weeks of the season can be genuinely chilly, and sessions run outside unless conditions are unsafe. Able to pass a background check Benefits $20 per hour, plus a $100 bonus when you finish the season. Employee discount on our other programs, for your own kids or family Team gear $50 referral bonus for anyone you send us who finishes the season Assistant coaches who do well get first pick of next season, and it's how our lead coaches get hired
